Maharashtra CM Fadnavis visits Garudeshwar’s Datta temple

"I prayed for the prosperity of the country and especially for rains that are eluding Maharashtra right now. We need rains," said Fadnavis.

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis on Friday arrived at the Garudeshwar’s Datta temple for the 101st death anniversary rituals of Maharashtrian spiritual leader Vasudevanand Saraswati Maharaj to offer prayer for rains in the state.

Interacting with mediapersons after performing a detailed aarti on the banks of River Narmada, Fadnavis said, “I prayed for the prosperity of the country and especially for rains that are eluding Maharashtra right now. We need rains.” Fadnavis, flanked by Chhota Udepur BJP MP Ramsinh Rathwa and Gujarat MLA Shabdasharan Tadvi, said Maharashtra and Gujarat “shared a bond of brotherhood”.

Steering away from making political statements Fadnavis said, “Vasudevanand Maharaj played a very major role in binding Maharashtra and Gujarat together. The states share a deep bond and all issues facing the states can be resolved through mutual dialogue.”
