Two killed,30 injured in train collision in West Bengal

A local passenger train collided head on with the Guwahati-Bengaluru Express in Malda.

At least two people were reportedly killed and 30 others were injured in a train accident in West Benga.

According to Headlines Today,six bogies of the Guwahati-Bangalore Express (12510) derailed near Malda district at around 7 p.m.

Another train,Azimganj-Malda Town Passenger,which was coming on the adjacent track later collided with the derailed bogies of the Guwahati-Bangalore Express.

Two bogies of the Azimganj-Malda Town Passenger caught fire after the collision,the report said.

Rescue and relief teams have been rushed to the accident site.

An enquiry booth has been seen up at the Howrah Station.

Meanwhile,seven trains have been cancelled due to the accident.
