With the Commonwealth Games getting over,the Delhi Police today effected a major reshuffle among top and middle-level officers,including three Special Commissioners and two Joint Commissioners. The reshuffle came as many senior officials were divested of their duties related to the Games,which concluded on last Thursday. Special Commissioner Ranjit Narayanan,a 1978-batch IPS officer,has been transfered from Security Wing to Crime Branch,which was being looked after by Special Commissioner (Special Cell) P N Aggarwal. Narayanan,who handled the Crime Branch as its Joint Commissioner earlier,was earlier posted in Andamans as the Director General of Police. He was given the charge of Security Wing ahead of the Commonwealth Games. Shanti Kumar Jain,a 1980-batch officer who is presently Special Commissioner (Vigilance),has been given the additional charge of Security Wing,a senior police official said. J K Sharma,who was the Joint Commissioner in-charge of Commonwealth Games,has been appointed at the Police Headquarters in the same rank. Sharma,a 1982-batch officer,will also look after matters related to the Games. Mansoor Ali Sayeed,another Joint Commissioner who is from 1982-batch,has been given the additional charge of Police Headquarters. A number of Deputy Commissioners have also been given new assignments. DCP (North) Sagarpreet Hooda has been posted in Intelligence Bureau on deputation while DCP (North-East) S S Yadav will replace him. Sanjay Jain has been promoted from Additional DCP and posted as DCP (North-East). U K Chaudhary,who was in charge of Games Village Security,has now been posted in Security Wing in the same rank,while A K Singh has been posted as DCP (Establishment/ PHQ) from DCP (Games Security). D S Norawat has been posted as Vice-Principal of Police Training Centre from DCP (Transportational Security for Games). Asif Mohd Ali has been posted as Additional DCP (EOW) from Additional DCP (Commonwealth Games). Garima Bhatnagar,who was transfered from Arunachal Pradesh,was posted as Additional CP while David Lalrinsanga (AGMU-95) has been transferred to SSB from Security Wing where he was an Additional DCP. V Renganathan has been posted as DCP (Vigilance) on transfer from Andaman and Nicobar Administration. Ram Kumar has been transferred to Andaman and Nicobar Administration from DCP (Supreme Court Security).
