Frog remark on Modi: BJP hits back,calls Khurshid a ‘cockroach’

Salman Khurshid had called Narendra Modi a 'proverbial frog' just out of the well.

The war of words between the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress escalated on Saturday with a BJP leader calling External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid a ‘cockroach’,who would survive any nuclear attack by Pakistan.

According to reports,BJP spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi lashed out at Khurshid,comparing him to a ‘cockroach’. The BJP leader retailiated as she said that if there will be a nuclear attack on India by Pakistan,”only one person will survive and that will be Salman Khurshid because only cockroaches can survive the nuclear attack.”

On Friday,Khurshid had called the Gujarat CM a ‘proverbial frog’ just out of the well,groping for a right place.

“What should I say about Modi? He is like a frog just out of the well and at a loss to find the right place for himself in the big wide world,” he said in response to a question.

Khurshid’s ‘frog remark’ on Modi came a day after the Gujarat CM slammed the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh accusing him of taking a soft stand against Pakistan.
