Badal to stay in villages to ‘feel’ problems of people

Badal had stayed at a government school last night and took part at a langar in Chappianwali.

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today said that he would stay at night in villages to feel the pulse of people there so that he could address their problems in a better way.

Badal had stayed at a government school last night and took part at a langar (community feeding) in Chappianwali.

On the second day of sangat darshan (meeting) in the district,Badal said his government is committed to give a new face lift to villages by ensuring all round development.

“The Sangat Darshan programme is a healthy platform to achieve this objective by redressing the grievances of the people on the spot, thereby bridging the communication gap between masses and administration,” he said.

The chief minister criticised former state finance minister Manpreet Singh Badal and said the Shiromani Akali Dal had gave him opportunities to serve the people of this region as an MLA.

Manpreet never wanted him to hold such meetings in the Gidderbaha Assembly Constituency region,he claimed.
