Kuki-Zo leaders from a civil society organisation based in Manipur’s Churachandpur met MHA officials in New Delhi Friday, with one leader referring to it as a “courtesy meeting”.
Four representatives of Kuki Zo Council, a group formed in October last year, met Centre’s Northeast Advisor A K Mishra and IB Joint Director Rajesh Kamble in New Delhi Monday.
“There was no discussion on the present crisis, nor was there any outcome… the meeting was a courtesy call. Our main idea of coming to Delhi is that our voices are not being heard in mainland India,” Kuki Zo Council chairman Henlianthang Thanglet said.
