Subsidies under EV policy extended, says Delhi Transport Minister Gahlot

The EV Policy was implemented in August 2020. According to an official, so far, 1.12 lakh electric vehicles have been registered under it.

Delhi’s Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot Monday announced that subsidies under the Electric Vehicle Policy will continue till the new policy is approved and notified.

The policy had expired and was extended for another month.

“Today, we complete 3 years of Delhi’s landmark EV policy that has propelled Delhi to become India’s EV capital. Since the formulation of the new EV policy is still under process, subsidy benefits of the existing policy will continue till the new policy gets notified,” he said in a tweet.

The EV Policy was implemented in August 2020. According to an official, so far, 1.12 lakh electric vehicles have been registered under it.
