J&K: NC demands probe into civilian death in Kulgam encounter

Opposition National Conference on Saturday demanded a time-bound probe into the death of a civilian at an encounter site in Chancer in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. Provincial spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar said, “The NC legislators condemned the incident and demanded a time bound probe be announced to ascertain the circumstances leading to the death of Assadullah Kumar.”

He also “condemned the alleged harassment of civilians in the area saying such an approach would result in further alienation of the people.”
