Talks on to firm-up NDA alliance for J’khand polls: Nitish

The NDA leadership is in dialogue to firm up the alliance between BJP and JD(U) for the assembly polls in Jharkhand,Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said .

The NDA leadership is in dialogue to firm up the alliance between BJP and JD(U) for the assembly polls in Jharkhand,Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said today.

“The national presidents of both BJP and JD-U are engaged in discussions for a final outcome,” Kumar told a meeting of the JD(U) here.

Blaming political leaders in Jharkhand for the situation in the state,Kumar without naming anyone alleged that a ‘money minting machine’ had been set up by way of installing an independent MLA as chief minister in 2006 in the state.

“It is sad to see the sorry state of affairs in Jharkhand nine years after it was carved out from Bihar … If JD-U comes to power in Jharkhand it will deliver corruption-free government and good governance,” he said.

He claimed that development in Bihar had picked up pace in four years under him. Crime had been curbed and the state was back on the rails after 15 years of RJD ‘misrule’(under Lalu Prasad- Rabri Devi).

The assembly elections were rescheduled to be held from November 25 in five phases.
