Sudipta Sen admitted to jail hospital

Saradha Group chairman Sudipta Sen, presently lodged in the Alipore Correctional Home, was Tuesday admitted to the prison hospital following health problems. “Sen has been admitted to the Alipore Jail hospital following complaints of some health problems. He will undergo a check-up in the hospital and doctors are looking after him,” a senior jail official said.

In August too, Sen was admitted to the jail hospital for a check-up.
Arrested in the multi-crore Saradha chit fund scam case, Sen is in jail along with several ruling Trinamool  leaders.

Meanwhile, state Transport Minister Madan who was discharged from the SSKM Hospital on December 28 after a stay of almost 10 days in its VIP cabin, has been shifted to ward No. 6 in the same jail. The ward has been painted fresh by the PWD department. Mitra is staying in the ward with eight other inmates.
