The Chandigarh police Wednesday summoned the daughter of a Punjab and Haryana High Court judge for questioning in connection with the murder case of national-level shooter and corporate lawyer Sukhmanpreet Singh Sidhu. She will be questioned Thursday. Sources said the girl is a “close friend” and that the two frequently spoke on the phone. The Chandigarh Police is looking for a woman who had fled from Sector 27 park after Sukhmanpreet was shot dead by two unidentified assailants. “We cannot say if the woman who we have called for questioning is the same one who was spotted at the scene of the crime. This is subject to verification. We are questioning many people who had links with Sukhmanpreet. Further details cannot be divulged as of now,” said an investigating officer.
