The Siwan Police have lodged a case against former RJD MP Mohammed Sahabuddin and his son Osama in connection with the murder of a key witness in an acid attack case. The controversial MP is currently serving jail term following his conviction in three criminal cases.

Rajiv Roshan, a BJP activist and key witness in the murder of his brothers Girij and Satish in August 2004, was killed by assailants in Siwan town on Monday evening.

His father Chanda Babu alleged that Mohammed Sahabuddin’s son Osama had lead the group of attackers. Babu also claimed that the murder was linked to Roshan recently giving his statement in the acid attack case in which Babu’s two other sons were killed.

Siwan SP Vivek Kumar said the police raided premises of former Siwan MP. “We have constituted a team to probe the role of the former MP and his son in Roshan’s murder,” Kumar said.
