Priyanka pays tributes to Indira Gandhi in Rae Bareli

Priyanka paid floral tributes to the former prime minister at the Indira Gandhi Botanical gardens.

Congress star campaigner Priyanka Gandhi Tuesday paid tributes to her grandmother Indira Gandhi on her birth anniversary in the constituency Rae Bareli once represented by the late prime minister,and met delegations of various cells of the party.

On the second and last day of her visit to her mother Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s constituency,Priyanka paid floral tributes to the former prime minister at the Indira Gandhi Botanical gardens,where she also interacted with school children.

She met delegations of traders,legal and women cells later at a guest house and took stock of the progress of central government schemes as well as the problems faced by common people.

In her interaction with the representatives of women cell,she inquired about their problems and asked them to connect as many women as possible.

On problems related to power,water and roads,Priyanka assured that “whatever possible would be done to redress them”.

Priyanka also took interviews of probable candidates for the posts of block presidents of Congress sewa dal before leaving for New Delhi.
