Passenger beaten up at Lucknow airport
Commotion prevailed at the Amausi Airport in Lucknow when a passenger deboarding an Oman Airlines flight was beaten up by some people claiming to be customs department officials.
Commotion prevailed at the Amausi Airport in Lucknow on Saturday morning,when a passenger deboarding an Oman Airlines flight was beaten up by some people claiming to be customs department officials.
Police sources here said that Brij Kishore Tewari,a resident of Gopalganj Bihar,who had deboarded Oman airlines flight WY865 was stopped by some people claiming to be customs department officials for checking.
Tewari was allegedly beaten up,when he refused to meet their demands and he had to run for help,police said adding that after he (Tewari) complained the matter to a political leader,who was present at the airport,the people claiming to be officials fled.
Senior police officials have reached the spot and the matter is being investigated,sources said adding that a case has been registered at the Sarojini Nagar police station.
