One jawan killed, three injured in Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh

A jawan of Chhattisgarh Armed Force was killed and three of his colleagues were injured in a Naxal attack in the state’s Narayanpur district today, police said.

Deepanshu Kabra, Deputy Inspector General (Intelligence), told Bhasha/PTI that the jawan Asanas Bada (30) was killed while three others were injured.

Kabra said Naxals opened fire on the police team which was patrolling in the area near Maraskhol village and fled after the police retaliated.

Additional forces have been sent to the spot.

One of the jawans, who was injured seriously, was sent to Raipur for treatment while the other two were sent to Jagdalpur.
