Mumbai: One dead, three injured after local train derails at Titwala

The injured have been rushed to Titawala civil hospital, said a senior railway officer.

One passenger died while three, including the guard R.N. Dube were injured, after  five coaches of Kasara CST local derailed between Titawala and Ambivli station on Central Railway at 2.50pm on Thursday.

The incident took place on the Up-line. Traffic between Kalyan and Kasara was disrupted following the accident.

Rescue operations are underway with the accidental relief train leaving for the site from Kalyan at 3.15pm. Senior railway officials have rushed to the spot
