No waste land development project for last 5 years: J-K govt

Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday admitted that the agriculture department has not sanctioned any specific project for the development of waste land during the last five years.

Replying to a question of B R Kundal in the Legislative Council,Minister of State for Revenue Nasir Aslam Wani said that the agriculture department has not sanctioned any specific project for the development of waste land during last five years.

He said that no Waste Land Development Board is functional at present as such no recommendations have been made.
