No need for Chavan to resign: Maha Congress Chief

“There is no question of Chief Minister resigning. The decision (to reject the report) had been taken after taking the cabinet into confidence,” Thakre said,talking to reporters here.

Chavan would discuss the issue with his cabinet colleagues,Thakre said,adding at the same time that “we will abide by what Rahul Gandhi has said”.

Reacting to coalition partner NCP’s statements on the issue — critical of Chavan — he said,”We do not pay heed to what the NCP says.”
