New board will look after Pataudi’s royal properties

Saba said the previous board of directors will automatically be diluted.

Late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi’s daughter Saba Sultan, who is the Mutawalli (custodian) of Auqaf-e-Shahi (royal properties), has de-centralised its work and formed a five-member executive board to resolve all its issues.

Saba told reporters here on Sunday that she was determined to solve all the problems related to the Auqaf-e-Shahi and will now discharge her duties to fulfil objectives for which the ‘Auqaf’ was meant. The move to form a new executive body and to decentralise work will bring more transparency in the board for the Auqaf-e-Shahi properties, she said.

Saba said the previous board of directors will automatically be diluted. The new five-member executive board for Auqaf-e-Shahi will have chairman of Reliable Group of Industries Sikander Hafeez Khan. Former chairman of Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board Ghufran-e-Azam, former secretary and retired deputy collector Omar Farooque Khatani, retired IFS  Mohammad Hashim, and former general manager of BHEL Z U Alvi will be its members.
