The Mizoram Police have announced cash rewards of up to Rs 2 lakhs for anyone aiding the arrest of any of six HPCD militants it says were involved in the March 28 ambush on a convoy of MLAs that killed three policemen and injured six other people, including two civilians.
The statement said anyone aiding in the arrests of self-styled sergeant-major Biakliana (designated the operations commander), self-styled sergeants Lalneihkunga and Malsawmkima would be rewarded Rs 2 lakhs each, while Rs 1 lakh each would be offered to anyone aiding the arrests of self-styled privates Reuben Lalromawia, Lalninghaka and Jehova.
At least two of these six wanted men are residents of Manipur.
