Madhya Pradesh BJP MLA says he has power to carry out an encounter

The MLA was responding to reporters and lost his cool when asked about a Ganesh temple, which has become a den of anti-social elements in his constituency, posing a threat to peace and tranquility in the region.

When a scribe asked him whether he was empowered to put somebody in jail, the legislator got angry and said, “I enjoy the power of an encounter. Write what you wish, I care a damn.”

Meanhwile, after Bhuria’s statement went viral, Congressmen reached Ajmara police station of the district to lodge an FIR against the MLA, who later said his remarks have been distorted and tendered apology.

“Moreover, if my statement has hurt anyone, I tender my apology,” he told PTI today.

“We gave a complaint to Ajmara police against Bhuria yesterday. His statement was bad in the eye of the law and he should be booked,” former Congress MLA of Sardarpur Pratap Grewal said demanding Bhuria’s resignation.
