An encounter between Maoists and security forces took place after the ultras opened fire on a long range patrol in Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district on Tuesday,police sources said. The security forces confronted the Maoists,who opened fire at Ganjra area under Tebo police station,the sources said. The encounter began at 8:30 am,they said according to brief details available.
