Pitching for Hindu-Muslim unity, Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh leader Indresh Kumar Wednesday appealed to the members of the Muslim community to make the country communal riot and addiction free.
He was speaking at an Iftaar party organised by the Muslim Rashtriya Manch, a social arm of the RSS. National co-convener of the unit Imraan Choudhary said that Kumar spoke at length on peaceful coexistence of Hindus and Muslims in the country.
“He spoke about spreading love, peace and brotherhood. He did say that we have to make the country free of communal-riots and appealed to both Muslims and Hindus to end the era of terror from this peace loving country. ‘Hum Hindustaan ko nasha mukht aur danga mukt banana chahte hai. Iskeliye Hindu aur Muslim dono ko shuruwaat karni hogi’,” Choudhary said.
Atif Rashid, state president of the minority morcha who was also present on the occasion, said that the message given by the RSS leader was loud and clear.
“He asked us to work for national integration. He mentioned that the RSS ideology is to make this country a better place to live and we should work together. If Hindus can become doctors and professors so can Muslims. He asked us to spread the message among the Muslims getting equal opportunity to advance in life.” added Rashid.
Muslim Rashtriya Manch is a platform for Muslims formed in 2002 at the initiative of then RSS sarsanghchalak K S Sudarshan.
