Geetanjali’s family asks HC to suspend Gurgaon CJM

The family has also said that the police did not even record Ravneet Garg’s statement immediately after she was found dead. They did not confiscate his mobile phone or search at his residence,giving him sufficient time to destroy evidence.

In the letter to the Chief Justice,Aggarwal has alleged that Garg was trying to pressurise the police and “hindering fair investigation” of the case. “The position would remain the same,even if investigation is carried out by any other agency,” the family members have submitted.

Aggarwal has requested that Garg should be immediately suspended,so that his sister could get justice. Aggarwal also met Justice Hemant Gupta,the Inspecting Judge of Gurgaon sessions court.

Geetanjali was found dead with bullet injuries in a park behind the high security Police Lines area of Gurgaon last week. Although police initially said it appeared to be a case of suicide,her family alleged that she was murdered.

The Haryana government has recommended a CBI probe into the murder of Geetanjali Garg.
