Even a rat finds gold valuable!

The spiralling rise in the price of gold was even recoganised by a rat,which took away a gold chain and kept at its abode.

A two sovereign gold chain which was lost in a bakery in Mudakkayam here was handed over to its owner today after a gap of six months by the bakery owner.

Salinidevi along with her friends went to a bakery for having cup of coffee. While sipping the coffee and chatting instead of placing the paper packet containing the chain to the handbag it fell on the floor.

She realized that her chain was lost only next day. The chain was not found after a thorough search inside the shop.

The shop owner as part of renovation removed the ceiling of the shop yesterday and found many waste paper,recharge coupons and chocolate wrappers among which traced out the packet containing the chain.
