Delhi: Man gets 10 years RI for raping minor

The court brushed aside the contention of 39-year-old Bhima that he was implicated in the case as there was no injury mark on the body of the victim.

“It is also well-established that mere absence of physical injury on the body of girl cannot negate the charge of rape when it is clearly deposed by her in the court,” the Judge said.

Bhima was arrested on February 8,2005,two days after the registration of a FIR with Moti Nagar police station here by nine-year-old victim’s parents.

They had alleged the convict had twice committed rape with their daughter after inducing her to his house in name of giving her toys.
