Conman who duped several jewellers nabbed

“Pudhere had two small steel vessels,one filled with real jewellery and the other with fake. He would visit jewellery shops with both in his pocket. He first showed his victims real jewellery and say he wanted to sell it as he had fallen on hard times. Once the jewellery was evaluated,he would distract the jeweller by engaging him in conversation. When no one was looking,he would exchange the real jewellery with the fake one and leave the shop with the real jewellery and the money,” said DCP Ambadas Pote.
