Clash between relatives leaves three dead

A clash that took place over a petty issue among the members of a joint family left three cousins dead,and another youth critically injured in a village in Narwana,Jind district of Haryana

A clash that took place over a petty issue among the members of a joint family left three cousins dead,and another youth critically injured in a village in Narwana,Jind district of Haryana.

The incident took place in Kharal village,where families of two brothers Zile Singh and Rajkumar engaged in a clash.

The deceased include Rajkumar (46),Satbir (50) and Balraj (35).

According to the police,Rajkumar’s son Gurmeet was removing unwanted plants from his fields and was keeping it on the common ground shared with his uncle Zile Singh. However,when Zile Singh’s son Rajesh saw this,he objected. Soon,both entered into a scuffle and called their family members for support.

Rajesh’s brother Shaili and a group of other armed people reached the spot and attacked Gurmeet. Before they could escape,Gurmeet’s father Rajkumar,brother Amarjit and uncles Balraj and Satbir also reached the spot. In the ensuing fight,Rajkumar,Balraj and Satbir were killed on the spot,while Amarjit was rushed to hospital in a critical condition. He is battling for life at Rohtak’s Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences.

The Jind police have booked five persons,including Zile Singh’s sons,on charges of murder and criminal conspiracy on the complaint lodged by Gurmeet.

Superintendent of Police,Jind,said all the accused are absconding.
