Bhujbal’s secy owns Rs 500-cr SRA property: Somaiya

Senior BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has claimed that Shailesh Changle,personal secretary to PWD minister Chhagan Bhujbal,owns property worth around Rs 500 crore that is part of a slum redevelopment scheme.

In a letter to Governor K Sankaranarayanan,the BJP leader claimed the Changle family owns five-lakh sq ft valued at over Rs 500 crore in a project in Bhandup west.The documents given by Somaiya show that Changle’s father Madhav and wife Anagha had purchased the property in June 2011.

Somaiya in May had also levelled allegations against Changle for having disproportionate assets and alleged that Changle owned several properties,including a resort.

Changle,however,claimed that the investment was legal and his father owned the plot.

“My father is in the realty business and bought the said property in 2008 for Rs 97 lakh. There is no SRA project on that land. My family is ready to sell the plot to Somaiya for Rs 5 crore if he wants to buy it,” Changle said.
