A number of his fellow protestors who were being packed off in buses,on Tuesday,by the Delhi police,wore Support Anna T-shirts and topis that read I am Anna,in English and Hindi. They also carried miniature Indian flags. A few days ago,just before Raksha Bandhan,Anna rakhis flooded the stores and according to one rakhi seller,did brisk business. But the accessories are not limited to the traditional. Soaked to the skin and shouting slogans,yesterday,a group of young men were handing out T-shirts which said BE the difference,BE the Change,Be Whats Next. One of them,Puneet Modhgil,is a Microsoft employee from Delhi. We want to create awareness about the issue. We thought T-shirts would be a good start, he said. He and his colleagues got 50 such T-shirts made,which they designed themselves. We got them manufactured in Okhla, said Digvijay Bhandari,32. Not every democratic accessory came free though. India Against Corruption,a peoples movement supporting Hazares protest,had their volunteers across Delhi,selling T-shirts printed with slogans. The Anna T-shirts are priced at Rs 110,while the caps are going for Rs 15. We help coordinate the transaction by getting these from the manufacturers to the public, said Ram Kumar Jha,a volunteer from IAC. These new accessories of freedom have been in demand for a few months now. Impulse Marketing,a T-shirt making company in South Delhi,has been making Anna shirts since April. Priced at Rs 150,their T-shirts are selling across India. We already sold about 500 T-shirts in April, said Manoj Kumar Jha,owner of Impulse. Where is my money,Prime Minister? demands one such T-shirt.
