4 killed in landslide in Chamoli

Four persons were killed after a landslide hit the under-construction Joshimath-Mallari road in the state’s Chamoli district on Tuesday. The Border Road Organization (BRO) has undertaken the road construction work.

All four persons, who lost their lives in the incident, were labourers. Confirming the incident, Station House Officer of Chamoli district said the labourers were removing the debris at the time of incident.

“In the meantime, they were hit by the landslide,” he said. The deceased persons have been identified as that of Darpan, Harak , Mukesh and Avinash.
