24×7 call centre for power complaints to be launched in Haryana today

From Monday,electricity consumers in Haryana will be able to register complaints round the clock as the Haryana power distribution corporations have decided to extend the call centre facility to across the state.

From Monday,electricity consumers in Haryana will be able to register complaints round the clock as the Haryana power distribution corporations have decided to extend the call centre facility to across the state. Till now,the facility was available in the area of the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam.

Among others,complaints related to billing,meters,connections and those relating to power supply,can be lodged at the call centre.

Devender Singh,Chairman and Managing Director of UHBVN and DHBVN,said: “All rural and urban electricity consumers can complaints registered through toll free telephone number — 18001801615 — every day. Another number,155333,has also been provided to facilitate the consumers.”

While attending to complaints relating to power failure,an attendant will inform the complainants in case of a scheduled power cut or failure and at what time the connection is likely to be restored. In case the supply has failed due to local fault,the complaint will be registered and fed into a computer. The staff will be asked to attend the complaint.

“If the complaint is of any other nature,it will be transferred to the Consumer Grievance Redressal System of DHBVN or UHBVN by the call centre,” Singh said.

In case a consumer does not have a computer or the Internet facility,he can use lodge such complaints in any office of the operations wing of DHBVN or UHBVN.
