10 cases of cheating reported from Hoshiarpur colleges

Ten cases of cheating under unfair means cases were registered from two colleges affiliated to PU on the second day of the postgraduate and graduate examinations.

Ten cases of cheating under unfair means cases (UMC) were registered from two colleges affiliated to PU on the second day of the postgraduate and graduate examinations. While seven cases of cheating were registered at SGGS Khalsa College in Mahilpur,three cases were from Khalsa College in Garhdiwala. Both colleges are located in Hoshiarpur district. The annual examination of postgraduate and graduate courses in all the 188 colleges of PU had began on April 2. PU Controller of Examination Dr Parvinder Singh said,“We got oral information about these 10 UMC cases from two colleges located in Punjab,but affiliated to PU. The office is still waiting for written reports stating the nature of unfair means used in the examinations.”
