Shiv Sena-BJP-RPI alliance has called for a bandh in Vidarbha,North Maharashtra and Marathwada on December 15 for 'the failure of the state government in solving problems of farmers' in these regions. In a joint statement issued here,Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray,RPI president Ramdas Athavale and BJP deputy leader in the Lok Sabha Gopinath Munde said the Congress-NCP government is in power only to enjoy it and not solve problems of the common man and the farmers. "Suicides by farmers have not stopped in Vidarbha. Farmers in Vidarbha,Marathwada and north Maharashtra are demanding increase in minimum support price for their crop but their pleas have fallen on deaf ears. When farmers take to the streets to demand justice, they are fired upon by the police," they said. The statement said that there is tremendous anger against the government and the people should express their anger in a non violent manner by participating in the bandh on December 15.
