Plant can be disastrous: Chautala
INLD chief Om Prakash Chautala on Wednesday termed the setting up of a nuclear plant in Fatehabad as a disaster for the entire North India. While speaking to mediapersons in Panchkula,Chautala said: The Gorakhpur plant can be extremely disastrous, not only for Haryana, but for the entire North India. The Congress is referring to decades old letters written by Chaudhary Devi Lal and Chaudhary Bhajan Lal,while the truth is that the nuclear plant issue was never raked up in those years. He added: The US has completely closed its nuclear reactors, the entire world has witnessed the nuclear tragedies in Russia and Japan,Germany has also decided to shutdown its nuclear reactors in the coming years. Setting up a nuclear plant at a place like Gorakhpur, which is densely populated,is nothing but putting everybodys life in danger. The INLD will not allow the government to set up the plant in Fatehabad at any cost.
