Woman alleges misbehavior at AAP MLA’s residence

A woman has alleged that a youth misbehaved with her at AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan's residence in southeast Delhi's Jamia Nagar area when she had gone to raise the issue of power cuts with the legislator.

A woman has alleged that a youth misbehaved with her at AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan’s residence in southeast Delhi’s Jamia Nagar area when she had gone to raise the issue of power cuts with the legislator.

An FIR was yesterday registered against the youth under sections 506 and 509 of IPC at Jamia Nagar police station based on a complaint filed by the woman, a resident of Jasola, police said.

The woman alleged she had telephoned Amantullah on July 10 and later went to his Batla House residence to raise the issue of power cuts with him.

She claimed the minister did not meet her and while she was returning, the youth came out of the house, abused her and threatened that she would be killed if she did not stop politicising the matter.

Amanatullah, however, said he did not even know if the woman came to his residence.

“CCTV cameras are installed at my residence. I do not know whether the woman came to meet me,” Khan said.
