The Central Bureau of Investigation Friday filed its second supplementary chargesheet before a special CBI Court in the Sheena Bora murder case. Hearing is set to begin tomorrow with the accused Indrani Mukherjea, husband Peter Mukherjea and her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna facing murder charges for the allegedly killing their daughter Sheena Bora. The court had earlier rejected Peter Mukherjea’s plea seeking to defer the hearing for another two weeks as his counsel sought additional time to study the chargesheet.

The accused are currently lodged in jail with the court rejecting their bail plea. Sheena Bora was allegedly strangled by Indrani and Sanjeev, with help from her car driver. Sheena’s death came to light when the driver, who was detained in another case, confessed to the alleged murder before Mumbai Police. He lead the police to the site where Sheena’s body was allegedly burnt in Raigad district. The police sent the charred remains to a forensic lab, which confirmed it belongs to Sheena.
Rahul Mukherjea, former media baron Peter Mukerjea’s son who was in a relationship with Sheena, had also said in his statement that he had last seen her with Indrani, Rai and Khanna when he dropped her near National College in Bandra on the day of the murder. Indrani’s former husband Sanjeev turned approver in the case and blamed her for strangling Sheen, while he restrained her.
