A CRPF constable died Wednesday after he reportedly shot himself after “accidentally” firing at another CRPF personnel. The incident occurred in Jharkhand’s Latehar district. Police said Mahipal (38), a barber in the force, returned from duty around 11 am to his room. “Security personnel outside heard two shots and rushed to the room to find Sanjay Kumar injured in the neck. Mahipal too had sustained a gunshot injury in his jaw and the bullet went through his head. Kumar has been rushed to Ranchi for treatment,” said SDPO Purshottam Kumar.
