Nigerian who sold Meow Meow to students held in Pune

Cops said that he used to sell the contraband to college students and he has named a college where he peddled the drug.

Police have arrested a 28-year-old Nigerian national, who is in India on a business visa, for possessing and peddling Mephedrone or Meow Meow. Cops said that he used to sell the contraband to college students and he has named a college where he peddled the drug.

A team from Khadak police station was working on specific inputs from sources that a person had been selling Meow Meow to students near a reputed educational institute in Camp area. The team laid a trap and arrested Eje Samuel Nyuze, who was currently living in Thane, but used to come to Pune regularly to sell drugs. Police have seized 24 grams of Meow Meow worth Rs 72,000 in the local market and double the price in the international market from him.

Senior inspector Raghunath Jadhav, in-charge of Khadak police station, said, “We arrested him based on specific inputs. He has been remanded to our custody. We expect to get details about the links from where he procured the drugs. We believe that there is a racket behind this person. He has given the name of an educational institute where he sold the drugs. His main targets were students.”
