Claiming that terrorism is incubated in India's neighbourhood, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address to the US Congress on Wednesday, commended the leaders for sending a clear message to those "who preach and practice terrorism for political gains". "Although its shadow is spreading across the world, terrorism is incubated in India's neighbourhood. Humanity must speak in one voice. Terrorism must be delegitimized," Modi said. Modi also thanked the US for showing solidarity after terrorists struck Mumbai in 2008. The prime minister also spelled out how a successful partnership between India and the US can bring peace, prosperity, and stability from Asia to Africa and from Indian Ocean to the Pacific.
