RSS activist’s murder: CPM leader’s plea for anticipatory bail rejected

The district sessions court in Thalassery Tuesday rejected the anticipatory bail application of CPM’s Kannur district secretary P Jayarajan, who was questioned by the CBI in connection with the murder of RSS leader E Manoj. Judge V J Anil Kumar said Jayarajan was not arraigned as an accused and therefore could not be granted anticipatory bail.

The CBI had served notices to Jayarajan to appear before the investigating officer for questioning. But he did not turn up citing poor health.
