Though Assembly polls in Goa are a year away, the AAP is set to start its campaign by holding a rally of its national convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal next month. “Probably in the second half of May, Arvind Kejriwal will visit Goa and interact with people here,” said AAP state secretary Valmiki Naik.
The AAP state unit feels the party has good prospects for the upcoming polls. Given “excesses” committed by the BJP government and Congress’s failure to rebuild its image following its 2012 defeat, AAP is well-placed to come to power in the state, they said.
