indianexpress.com wins Gold for best mobile service

Strait Times mobile app and Manorama Mobile won silver and bronze in the best mobile service category.

Indianexpress.com has won gold for the best mobile service at the Wan-IFRA Asian Digital Media awards in HongKong. Some of Asia’s leading news media companies, including Apple Daily, South China Morning Post and Thomson Reuters were among the winners of the 6th annual Asian Digital Media Awards jointly presented by Google and the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA).

The Asian Digital Media Awards are the most prestigious recognition in Asia of outstanding work in the fields of News website, online video, data visualisation, digital advertising campaign, news mobile services, tablet publishing, reader engagement and outstanding new product.

IndianExpress.com won the award on the basis of its new, reader friendly and innovative mobile app. Straits Times mobile app and Manorama Mobile won silver and bronze in the best mobile service category.
