Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar
A day after Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal’s first public meeting in Goa, Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar, while stating the new opposition was good for the BJP, decried over AAP’s spending on its public rally and suggested that its finances were raised through corrupt means.
Terming AAP’s emergence in Goa positive, Parsekar said that he welcomed Kejriwal’s campaigning in the state. However, he suggested that the AAP leader must not blame others.
“A person hiring people from Delhi, Karnataka, Maharashtra and spending money on such large numbers of people, how can the money be anything but sourced through corrupt means,” Parsekar asked.

Earlier during the day, responding to media on similar allegations made by Goa’s Deputy Speaker Vishnu Wagh, AAP spokesperson Ashutosh said AAP has a transparent method for collecting funds and that it is displayed on the party’s website.
“First let the BJP leaders give clarity on such expenses and then we will show our accounts,” he said.
