After Aam Aadmi Party attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over President Pranab Mukherjee rejecting the Bill to exclude the post of Parliamentary Secretary from the office of profit, the BJP on Monday branded it ‘Accusing and Abusing Party’ and asked Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal not to demean the credibility of the President of India.

Addressing a press conference in the national capital, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said that Kejriwla must understand that the office of the President and that of the Election Commission of this country are independent institutes of great credibility.

“We have seen the drama of the AAP unfolding in front of us since yesterday. We have seen the frustration of the Chief Minister of Delhi Mr. Arvind Kejriwal. I would like to remind the office of Delhi Chief Minister, that sir, office of the President of this country, office of the Election Commission of this country are independent institutes and they are institutes of great credibility,” said Patra.

“Because you have certain political ambition which did not get fulfilled, for god’s sake don’t demean the credibility of the President of India because at the end of the day, it demeans the credibility of the democracy of the country. Don’t demean the Election Commission of this country because after all, the issue of disqualification of 21 MLAs lies in front of the President and the Election Commission of this country and not with BJP. We don’t have to do anything with this,” he added.

The AAP and Kejriwal are obsessed with Modi and that is the issue,” Patra said.

“Mr. Kejriwal’s morning, begins with Modi, Modi, Modi his afternoon is Modi, Modi, Modi and his evenings are Modi, Modi, Modi. AAP has become an abusing and accusing party. AAP stands for Accusing and Abusing Party,” he added.
