Twenty-three Indian fishermen who were detained at Diego Garcia on October 6, after they strayed into that country’s waters, have been released.

International Fishermen Development Trust president, Justine Antony, said he has got an email in this regard from Tomy Moody, administrator of British Indian Ocean Territory.

The mail said the fishermen have been released on November 7 from their exclusive economic zone.
