The Indian Institute of Technology Madras will soon conduct a “feasibility study” to set up a campus in Sri Lanka, institute’s Director V Kamakoti said Sunday.
“Talks with the Sri Lankan authorities are in preliminary stages for IIT Madras to set up a campus in that country. A delegation from Sri Lanka visited our campus and soon a delegation will visit Sri Lanka for a feasibility study,” Kamakoti told The Indian Express.
IIT-M started its first offshore campus in Tanzania’s Zanzibar with Preeti Aghalyam as the director in November 2023.
