Two killed, 10 injured as bridge collapses in rain-battered Gujarat

The injured were rushed to the Amreli district hospital. The occupants of the bus were travelling from Rajkot to Amreli, which has received 33 percent more rainfall this monsoon. Meanwhile, according to the IMD forecast for Sunday, the depression over Maharashtra is expected to usher in heavy to very heavy rains at few places over Gujarat region. In the last 24 hours, about 133 talukas in Gujarat received significant rainfall including 265 mm in Dangs, Vaghai (235 mm), Pardi (195 mm) and Khorgam (182 mm). Ahmedabad received about 50 mm rainfall.
