Congress president Sonia Gandhi's political secretary Ahmed Patel, state party in-charge and AICC general secretary Gurudas Kamat are among the top party leaders to take part in a one-day executive committee meeting of the party in Vadodara on July 25. Addressing media persons on Tuesday, state party president Bharatsinh Solanki said that over 600 leaders from across the state would assemble in Vadodara to discuss the current political, social and economic situation in the state And also the problems faced by women, farmers and working class. The party, he said, would be discussing these issues in view of the forthcoming local bodies elections. Referring to the attack on Chhotaudepur district collector by sand mafias today, Solanki said that it reflected on the state of law and order situation in the state. He said that if a collector could be attack, then one could simply imagine what would be condition of the common man.
