Full list of public holidays in India 2025: Banks will remain closed on these days
List of Public Holidays in India in 2025: A circular issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions has declared 17 Gazetted Holidays and 34 Restricted Holidays.

Gazetted holidays are mandated government vacations, whereas restricted holidays are discretionary and vary by institute and state.
The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions published a circular declaring about 17 gazetted and 34 restricted holidays.
Here is the list of gazetted holidays for Central Government Offices in India for the year 2025:
